Dr Ranjan Arianayagam — Urological Surgeon
Dr Ranjan Arianayagam is a specialist urological surgeon based at the Randwick Hospitals Campus and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney. He subspecialises in urological oncology — cancer of the prostate, kidney, bladder, adrenal gland and testis — and is one of Sydney’s leading experts in robotic-assisted urological surgery.
Training & Experience
Dr Arianayagam completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney before undertaking urology surgical training across Sydney’s major public hospitals.
He subsequently completed two internationally recognised fellowships in robotic and oncological surgery:
- Hertfordshire Cancer Centre, UK — Royal College of Surgeons (RCS)-accredited fellowship in robotic prostatectomy and robotic kidney surgery
- University College London Hospital (UCLH), London — Fellowship in robotic pelvic oncology
These fellowships established his expertise in the full range of robotic urological oncology procedures, with a particular focus on nerve-sparing and functional outcomes alongside oncological control.
Dr Arianayagam holds the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and holds a conjoint academic appointment at UNSW Sydney.
