Dr Tom Jarvis

Dr Tom Jarvis — Urological Surgeon

Dr Tom Jarvis is a specialist urological surgeon based at the Randwick Hospitals Campus and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney. He subspecialises in complex voiding dysfunction, neurourology, female urology, prosthetic urology and post-prostatectomy care — areas that require the most advanced training and experience in the field.

Training & Experience

Dr Jarvis completed his medical training at the University of New South Wales — achieving honours across all three undergraduate degrees — before undertaking surgical training across Sydney’s major public hospitals: Royal Prince Alfred, Royal North Shore, Prince of Wales and Concord Repatriation General.

He subsequently secured a highly competitive international fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York, one of the world’s foremost cancer and surgical institutions. Working alongside globally recognised leaders in the field, he trained in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), complex voiding dysfunction and urodynamics, female urology and pelvic floor reconstruction, neurourology, prosthetic urology — artificial urinary sphincters and penile implants — and oncological reconstruction.

He has also sought out advanced urological surgical techniques internationally, including training in India.

Dr Jarvis holds the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) — the highest surgical qualification in Australasia.
